Super Bowl Watch Party at Graceland to Benefit St. Jude
February 6, 2011
A fun event to support a wonderful cause! Graceland hosted a Super Bowl® XLV watch party and auction on the mansion's front lawn to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The party marked only the second time an event has been held on the lawn, or anywhere on the property, since Elvis’ passing.
Former Shelby County Mayors Bill Morris and Jim Rout hosted the event. Co-hosts for the evening included Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell and Memphis City Mayor A.C. Wharton.
Champion joined in on the festivities, including a touch football game, on the front lawn with former Memphis State and NFL quarterback Billy Fletcher leading an all-star lineup to reenact the games Elvis held at Graceland more than 40 years ago. Participants wore throwback replica jerseys from one of Elvis’ old teams.

Champion Adopts a Family
December 22, 2010
At Champion we decided to do something different this year. We adopted a family of 4 children and grandma and a family of 11 children and mom and dad. They were provided with school clothes all year, including Nike shoes, their toy choices from bikes to iPods to baby alive dolls to remote control cars to a play station and games. Santa and his helpers at Champion gave a lot this year but received a lot more love in return. A special thanks to Mrs.Clause (Suzie Bowen) for coordinating everything. Merry Christmas!
